Dear ICFS2017 Participants
I hope this message finds you well. Already three months have passed since the 4th ICFS in Kyoto last October. I remember anxiously waiting your arrival because of Typhoon 21, hearing your interesting lectures and presentations, having in-depth discussions with you all. These were all good memories. It was really good experience for me to host the conference here in Japan.
Today I am writing this message to encourage you to submit your manuscript for 4th ICFS Special Issue to be published in Journal of Material Cycles and Waste Management (JMCWM). I already made an announcement about this at the closing ceremony of the conference. For the details of the submission process, please refer to the attached files of “Call for Paper (Extended)” and “Instruction for Authors”.
The submission deadline is the end of this January. But we’ve had many requests from conference participants to extend this deadline. We would like as many of you as possible to take this opportunity to submit your original and unique papers. As seen in the attached document, we have decided to extend the deadline until March 15, 2018.
We look forward to receiving your interesting and high-quality papers.
This year we have extremely cold winter days in Japan－sometimes the temperature falls below the freezing point. We hear the news that there have been a number of extreme cold waves in North America while severe heat waves in Australia. Different parts of the worlds have really different climates. We all experience wild fluctuation in the climate. Under such situation, however, I hope each of you are doing well and continue your study in good health.
Shinichi Sakai, Junya Yano, Chair & Secretary of 4th ICFS
